Video Diary: Pink Elephant ITSM Conference Day 3

This is the video from the Tuesday at the Pink Elephant ITSM Conference in Las Vegas. The video is about 6 minutes long and includes industrial psychologist Bernado Tirado from The Project Box talking about his top tip for finding a powerful position in the room. It also includes a short piece of the presentation given by Ty Kiisel from AtTask. He talks about the roots of project management in this clip.

In the video I mention the keynote afternoon speech by Dr Joanne Cantor. She talked about the myth of multi-tasking and provided some strategies for dealing with cyber overload. One of the strategies was to have a ‘drop everything’ list. These are people for whom you will drop everything and take their call or answer their email. They need to have a way of getting in touch with you that is potentially different to other people, so that you can have downtime without gadgets or distractions but still feel connected to those people who are important.
